Employment services are changing to municipal services on January 1, 2025
From the beginning of 2025 employment services will be transfered to the municipalities and the state employment and business office will be abolished while the municipal experiment ends. Employment services will become part of the basic services of every municipality, like other services of the municipality.
With the help of employment services, both individual and business customers receive recommendations and guidance for job search and employee recruitment as well as skills development.
Laitila city belongs to the Turku employment area, which consists of 23 Finnish municipalities. You can read more about the Turku employment area and the employment service reform on the website of the preparation: https://www.turku.fi/tyollisyysalue(avautuu uuteen ikkunaan, siirryt toiseen palveluun)ย
What does the change mean?
The fact that your customership is transferred to your own municipality does not affect the validity of your job application or the tasks and services that have already been agreed upon with you. You will receive instructions for doing business from your municipality and you dont have to register as a job seeker again or be in contact with your municipality just because of this transfer. If necessary, we will contact you personally.
While looking for job or employees, you should always log in to JobMarket, which serves as a meeting place for both job seekers and employers. JobMarket contains information, services and vacancies related to working life. While loging in to JobMarket you can create, for example, a job search profile or a job advertisement. You can also find comprehensive instructions for doing business on the job market. If you need employment services for the first time, you can always turn to your municipality and we will help and guide you forward. You can get more information and guidance for job searching or recruiting employees from your municipality`s service point, from the website of the responsible authority of the employment area, municipal association, employment area or from JobMarket.
